Founding Team

Tom Horgan


Tom Horgan has over 30 years experience in bringing transformative technologies to market. He previously was the CEO of Maxwell Technologies, the leader in ultra-capacitors. Tom has held senior positions with Seagate, Quantum and Digital Equipment Corporation. He holds a BEE in Engineering and MIE in Industrial Engineering from University College in Dublin.

Dr. Steve Thompson


Steve Thompson has over 15 years of R&D experience in wireless digital communication systems and leads research and development. A key contributor to the OFDM waveform method, active in 3GPP RAN working groups, and is an industry veteran with an extensive portfolio of publications in telecommunications. He holds a PhD in EE from UC San Diego.

Steve Caliguri


Steve Caliguri has over 25 years of experience guiding telecom and wireless companies. He was the founding executive for Leap Wireless, a Qualcomm spin-off and has extensive M&A background, transforming strategies into profitable businesses. He holds a BS in Physics from Boston College, MSEE from Northeastern, and MBA from Boston College.

Zane Rau


Zane Rau is a DSP engineer responsible for developing OTDOA positioning algorithms.  Zane previously lead a project team developing advanced DSP applications for Android and IOS mobile phones.  He holds a BS in EE from UC San Diego.

Raphaël Mall


Raphaël brings more than 10 years of experience in design and integration of wireless technologies. He has played a significant role in the development of PHY Wireless current algorithm designs, data visualization tools, and data capturing equipment. He holds an MS EE from Télécom Paris, France's top EE program.

Neal Riedel


Neal Riedel has more than 34 years of experience in communication system design . He has led large inter-disciplinary development teams working on chipsets for wireless communication systems at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems (now Conexant) and Pacific Communication Sciences, Inc. In 2001, he co-founded Serrano Systems Incorporated, which has developed a variety of wireless and wireline communication technologies at the PHY, MAC and network layers. He is a named inventor on 17 U.S. patents, and holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College in Clairemont, CA.
